LINCOLN COUNTY OFFICES REOPENING

Lincoln County will be re-opening all county offices to the public effective Monday, June 29, 2020

Please be patient as we anticipate longer than usual lines as a result of the recent closure. You may be standing for a long period of time, as we give the best possible service to each and every citizen.

Follow the State of Washington guidelines for protecting yourself and others from transmission of illness.  If you are sick, or have any signs or symptoms of illness, please consider delaying your visit, and conduct your business when you are healthy.  Hand sanitizer will be available at all entrances for your use upon entry and exit from the buildings.  All customers will be required to stand 6 feet apart, and only those persons necessary to complete a transaction should be inside the building. As always, the majority of services we offer can be completed online, through the US Mail, or by telephone.

You may visit our website for online services and for the phone number of the office you wish to contact.

Lincoln County Jail visitation services continue to be suspended until further notice.

Birth Certificates What is a birth certificate?

Some hospitals or physicians may provide new parents a card or certificate to attest to the fact of the birth, however, this is not an official birth certificate.  The only valid certificate is the original certificate on file with the Center for Health Statistics.  “Certified Copies” of the original certificate can be provided only by Local Health Jurisdictions or the Center for Health Statistics.  These are photo static copies certified by the appropriate government official as being true copies of the original document and fulfill legal requirements.

How to get a birth certificate:

Lincoln County Health Department provides copies of  “Certified Birth Certificates” of people born in the state of Washington from the year 1921 to the present.  The cost is $20.00 and can be paid for with cash, local check, money order or credit card.  There is an additional $3.00 handling fee per certificate for mailed birth certificates.  Available Monday thru Friday 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.

Copies of birth certificates for births that occurred prior to 1922 can be requested from the Center for Health Statistics at (360) 236-4300 or on the WEB at the Department of Health
