What is WIC?

WIC is a nutrition education program.
WIC provides supplemental foods which promote good health for pregnant, breastfeeding and postpartum women, infants and children up to age 5.

What WIC is NOT:

WIC is not a welfare program.

Who is eligible?

Pregnant Women
Breastfeeding Women
Women who have a baby less then six months old.
Infants and children up to five years old who:
                 * live in Lincoln County
                 * are at nutritional risk
                 * meet income qualifications

What are the benefits of being enrolled in the WIC program?

You get lots of good breastfeeding information and support.
You get nutritious foods at no cost.
You receive nutrition counseling for yourself and your children.
You save money. The extra money can be used to purchase other nutritious foods that WIC does not provide.
