The Board of County Commissioners met this day in Regular Session with all Commissioners present.
COMMITTEE REPORTS: Were presented.
MINUTES: From January 22, 2008 were approved as presented.
CLAIMS: Claims were examined and ordered paid in the amount of $208,987.83.
PAYROLL CHANGE NOTICES: Were presented and approved.
TELECONFERENCE: Legislative lobbyist Jim Potts presented legislative update.
COMMISSIONERS’ ORDER 08-01: Awarded the bid for Liquid Asphalt to SemMaterials.
COMMISSIONERS’ ORDER 08-02: Approved cancellation of lost or stolen warrants.
RESOLUTION 08-09: Approved a budget reduction to the 2008 Public Health Budget.
CONTRACT: Regional AIDS contract with Spokane Regional Health Dist. was signed.
CONTRACT: Homeland Security Grant Contract with the State Military Dept. and the Dept. of Homeland Security was signed.
GRANT CONTRACT: Was signed between Washington State Dept. of Ecology and Lincoln County for Phase 4 of WRIA 43.
REQUEST: From Sheriff to pay bills out of tax monies collected for emergency communication.
MOTION: By unanimous vote, approved request to pay bills.
REQUEST: From Sheriff to transfer non working PBT’s back to store for in-store credit.
MOTION: By unanimous vote, approved request to transfer PBT’s back to store.
LIQUOR LICENSE APPLICATION: Was received for Big Bend Golf & Country Club in Wilbur, WA.
MOTION: By unanimous vote, approved the application.
LETTER: Was received from Harrington Opera House Society Treasurer regarding the EDC Grant and verification the monies are being used appropriately.
VACATION REQUEST: Was received from Copenhaver Construction for Angstrom Road between Redwine Canyon and McDowell Canyon.
PUBLIC MEETING: Was held to discuss opinions for the proposed Ordinance for Off Highway Vehicles (OHV) being allowed to use a road in Odessa, WA.
AFFIDAVIT OF PUBLICATION: Verification of notification was received from The Wilbur Register.
BID OPENING: Four bids were opened for Asphalt Crack Sealant for Public Works Department.
MOTION: By unanimous vote, referred bids to Public Works Director.
MEETING: Public Works Director presented departmental report.
INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT: Was signed with the Town of Harrington.
ROAD RESOLUTION 2474R: Approved the Equipment Rental Rates for 2008.
GRANT AGREEMENT: Between State of Washington Dept. of Ecology and Lincoln County Public Works regarding moderate risk waste and waste reduction and recycling was signed.
MEETING: Executive Director of GWMA met to provide updates on ground water issues.
LETTER: Requesting support for the Columbia Basin GWMA issues.
MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING: Between Lincoln County Commissioners and the Franklin Conservation Dist. regarding GWMA Supplemental Funding was signed.
Adjournment: With no further business, the meeting was adjourned to meet again on Monday, March 3, 2008.
