LINCOLN COUNTY
OCTOBER 20, 2008
The Board of County Commissioners met this day in Regular Session with all Commissioners present.
COMMITTEE REPORTS: Were presented.
CLAIMS: Claims were examined and ordered paid in the amount of $332,127.31.
PAYROLL CHANGE NOTICES: Were presented and approved.
TRANSPORTATION LETTER: Was received from Washington State Department of Transportation in regards to transportation needs for the elderly.
GRANT AMENDMENT: Amendment 2 to Ecology Grant was received to allow for additional funding and extending the Grant through June 30, 2009.
MEMORANDUM: From Auditor regarding transferring a copier from Auditor’s inventory list to the Treasurer’s inventory list.
MOTION: By unanimous vote, approved transferring the copier to Treasurer’s inventory list.
MEMORANDUM: From Auditor regarding having a copier declared as surplus inventory and removing it from the inventory list.
MOTION: By unanimous vote, approved having copier declared as surplus and removed from inventory list.
MEMORANDUM: From Auditor regarding a request to hire Deputy Auditor Recording Deputy.
MOTION: By unanimous vote, approved request to hire.
OUT OF STATE TRAVEL REQUEST: Was submitted from the Public Health Administrator to travel to Maryland for FEMA training.
MOTION: By unanimous vote, approved request for out of state travel.
REQUEST: Lincoln County Fair Secretary requested a monitor that was previously surplused to be part of inventory for the Fair.
MOTION: By unanimous vote, approved request to inventory a monitor to Fair inventory.
LETTER: Was received from Okanogan County Transportation & Nutrition for support in the senior nutrition program.
MOTION: By unanimous vote, approved request for support of senior nutrition program and funding $5,000.00 to the program.
VERIFICATION OF SUPPORT: Quarterly verification of support and time report was signed for WSU Food Sense Program.
2009 BUDGET FOR ADAMS CO. FIRE DISTRICT 1: 2009 Budget was submitted for Adams Co. Fire Protection District 1.
LAW LIBRARY ANNUAL REPORT: Was submitted for 2008.
UNION LETTERS: Union Representative submitted a letter stating Local 1254 is satisfied with the new medical plan options.
MEETING: The Treasurer met to discuss the outcome of the surplus sale.
MEETING: Public Works Director met to give a Departmental Update.
LOCAL AGENCY AGREEMENT: Was signed for the Safety Improvement Project with Washington State Department of Transportation.
PICTURES: Of an accident in the Hawk Creek area were submitted to show road conditions at the time of the accident.
Meeting recessed to reconvene Monday, October 27, 2008 at 10:00 a.m.

AFFIDAVIT OF PUBLICATION: Verification of notification was received from The Wilbur Register.
BID OPENING: Two bids were opened for the Guardrail Project for the Public Works Dept.
MOTION: By unanimous vote, referred bids to Public Works Director.
MEETING: Auditor met to discuss Grant funding for the EDC Grants and other potential budget concerns.
Adjournment: With no further business, the meeting was adjourned to meet again on Monday, November 3, 2008.
