COMMISSIONERS PROCEEDINGS

LINCOLN COUNTY

DECEMBER 1, 2008

 

The Board of County Commissioners met this day in Regular Session with all Commissioners present.         

 

COMMITTEE REPORTS:  Were presented.

CLAIMS:  Claims were examined and ordered paid in the amount of $467,162.22.

COMMISSIONERS ORDER 08-17:  Authorized refund of payment to Alcohol/Drug Center client.

OPEN SPACE TAXATION AGREEMENT:  Fully executed and recorded agreement with Barry and Susan Newman was received.

SUBAGENT CONTRACT:  Between Auditor and Subagent Lois Fisher for licensing services was received.

SUBAGENT CONTRACT:  Between Auditor and Subagents Sally Rux and Jackie McLaughlin for licensing services was received.

LAW ENFORCEMENT CONTRACT:  Between Lincoln County and City of Davenport for law enforcement services through December 31, 2011 was signed.

NOTIFICATION:  Was received from the Associate Deputy Secretary of the Interior regarding Payment in Lieu of Taxes (PILT) funds.

AFFIDAVIT OF PUBLICATION:  Verification of publication was received from The Wilbur Register.

PUBLIC HEARING:  Was held regarding the 2009 Preliminary Budget.  No public testimony was received.  Hearing was closed.

MOTION:  By unanimous vote, approved moving ahead with budget and approve it at final December meeting.

MEETING:  Public Works Engineering Services Manager met to give Departmental Update.

RESOLUTION 2486:  Approved load restrictions on various county bridges and rescinded Resolution 2461.

LETTER:  From Public Works Director to City of Davenport Mayor regarding Program and Recycling Container Agreements and Fees was presented.

MEETING:  Planning Director met to give departmental update and submit draft of Title 13.

REQUEST:  To surplus desk was received from Sheriff.

MOTION:  By unanimous vote, approved surplus of desk.

Meeting recessed to reconvene Monday, December 8, 2008 at 9:00 a.m.

Meeting reconvened on December 8, 2008 with a quorum of members present.

 

Adjournment:  With no further business, the meeting was adjourned to meet again on Monday, December 15, 2008.
