LINCOLN COUNTY

 APRIL 21, 2008

The Board of County Commissioners met this day in Regular Session with all Commissioners present.         

COMMITTEE REPORTS:  Were presented.

MINUTES:  From March 17, 2008 were approved as presented.

CLAIMS:  Claims were examined and ordered paid in the amount of $173,251.37.

COMMISSIONERS’ ORDER 08-09:  Awarded bid to The Wilbur Register for county printing. RESOLUTION 08-17:  Approved a budget extension for Public Health Department.

AGREEMENT:  Between Stericycle & Lincoln County regarding removal and disposal of syringes and needles.

REQUEST:  From Sheriff was received to pay an invoice from Valance Wireless and Communications.

MOTION:  By unanimous vote, approved request to pay invoice.

REQUEST:  From Sheriff was received to pay an invoice from Divco Incorporated.

MOTION:  By unanimous vote, approved request to pay invoice.

REVOCATION OF COMMISSION:  Was received from Sheriff for Special Deputy Sheriff Brian Schorzman.

NOTIFICATION:  Was received from the State Liquor Board for renewal of liquor license for Deer Meadows Resort.

LETTER : From Town of Wilbur regarding the EDC Grant money for the Wilbur Airport Improvement Project.

AFFIDAVIT OF PUBLICATION:  Verification of publication was received from The Wilbur Register.

PUBLIC HEARING:  Was held to consider the OHV/ORV Ordinance for a portion of Lakeview Ranch Loop Road. Public comments were heard. Hearing closed.

MEETING:  Gene Johnson, secretary for LCOMM met to discuss updating Odessa repeater site and possible cost for the project.

MOTION:  By unanimous vote, approved updating the repeater site and the estimated cost for the project.

MEETING:  Public Works Director presented departmental report.

AFFIDAVIT OF PUBLICATION:  Verification of publication was received from The Wilbur Register.

PUBLIC HEARING:  Was held to confirm the continuation of the Deer Meadows and Deer Heights Road Improvement District Road Project. Public comments were heard by the Board. Public Hearing was closed.

RESOLUTION 08-18:  Authorized the confirmation of order for the RID and Road Project for Deer Heights.

RESOLUTION 08-19:  Authorized the confirmation of order for the RID and Road Project for Deer Meadows.

CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT:  Was signed with S.A. Gonzales for the construction of the RID road project for Deer Heights Job Number 6027.

CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT:  Was signed with S.A. Gonzales for the construction of the RID road project for Deer Meadows Job Number 6016.

Meeting recessed to convene a  Board of Health Meeting.

MEETING:  Public Health Administrator met to present update on the 2007 Annual Report. Board of Health meeting closed.

Meeting reconvened with all Commissioners present.

MEETING:  With WSU Extension Director regarding the Food Sense Program agreement.

AGREEMENT:  The Food Sense Program agreement for the 2009 contribution was signed. 

NOTIFICATION:  Was received from the State Liquor Board for renewal of liquor license for the

Fort Spokane Store and Restaurant.

AGREEMENT:  An amendment to the agreement with the Emergency Management Division of the Washington State Military Dept. was signed regarding the necessary expenses  to answer 911 calls originating in each county.

Adjournment:  With no further business, the meeting was adjourned to meet again on Monday, May 5, 2008.
