The Board of County Commissioners met this day in Regular Session with all Commissioners present.
COMMITTEE REPORTS: Were presented.
CLAIMS: Claims were examined and ordered paid in the amount of $1,512,714.93.
MOTION: By unanimous vote, approved appointment of Paul Gross to Water Conservancy
Board for another term.
MOTION: By unanimous vote, approved appointment of Lyle Hendrickson as Chairman of
County Safety Committee.
COMMISSIONERS’ ORDER 07-19: Authorized refund of approach permit fee to Scott
Hopkins.
CONTRACT AMENDMENT: No. 1 to contract with Department of Corrections was signed.
CHANGE ORDER: To contract with Water & Natural Resource Group was signed.
GRANT AMENDMENT: No. 17 to grant with Department of Ecology was signed.
AGREEMENT: Student Affiliation Agreement between WSU and Public Health was signed.
CONTRACT: With ESD 101 for school nursing at Odessa School District was signed.
GRANT APPLICATION: For public defense funding was signed for submittal to State Office
of Public Defense.
LETTER: Was received from Richard Kayne regarding Public Defender contract for 2008.
LOAN REQUEST: Was received from Public Works Director for interfund loan to County Road
Fund. Also received was recommendation from Finance Committee.
MOTION: By unanimous vote, approved interfund loan to County Road Fund.
LETTER: Was received from Sheriff regarding transfer of funds from DARE fund.
LETTER: Was received from Council of City and County Employees regarding resolution of
grievance.
MEETING: Treasurer met to discuss results of tax title property auction.
AFFIDAVIT OF PUBLICATION: Verification of notification was received from
The Wilbur Register.
PUBLIC HEARING: Was conducted to consider land use reclassification to Open Space/
Timber Land for Robert Novak. No public comment received. Hearing closed.
MOTION: By unanimous vote, approved application for land use reclassification.
MEETING: Sheriff met to discuss seizure of 996 marijuana plants from growing operation in
Odessa.
MEETING: Auditor met to discuss Alcohol/Drug Center financial situation.
MOTION: By unanimous vote, authorized Auditor’s Office to run special issue of vouchers for
Alcohol/Drug Center.
MEETING: Public Health Administrator met to discuss upcoming state exercise. Also discussed was flu immunization clinic.
MEETING: Public Works Director met to present departmental update.
SAFETY COMMITTEE: Director recommended Sam Ringwood take his place on Safety
Committee.
MOTION: By unanimous vote, approved appointment.
WORK REQUEST J07039: Authorized striping of road to Seven Bays Marina for National Park
Service.

sale at auction for Public Works Department. No public comment received. Hearing closed.
MOTION: By unanimous vote, approved surplus of vehicles and equipment for sale at auction.
RESOLUTION 2467R: Authorized surplus for sale at auction of certain vehicles and equipment
from Public Works Department.
LETTER: Copy of letter to Spokane Hutterian Brethern was received regarding cultural resources survey relating to Bull Run Road realignment.
VOUCHERS: Current Expense vouchers are not complete.
MOTION: By unanimous vote, approved signing voucher approval out of session.
RESOLUTION 07-43: Authorized interfund loan to County Road fund.
Adjournment: With no further business, the meeting was adjourned to meet again on Monday, October 15, 2007.
