The Board of County Commissioners met this day in Regular Session with Commissioners Boleneus and Hopkins present.
COMMITTEE REPORTS: Were presented.
GWMA FUNDING: Request was received at WSAC Conference for GWMA Counties to approve funding.
MOTION: By unanimous vote, added $2,400 to Commissioners budget for 2008 for GWMA.
CLAIMS: Claims were examined and ordered paid in the amount of $297,357.46.
PAYROLL CHANGE NOTICES: Were approved as presented.
RESOLUTION 07-49: Authorized budget extension to Sheriff’s Operations budget.
REQUEST TO SURPLUS: Was received from Civil Service Secretary to surplus Compaq computer
and Gateway monitor.
MOTION: By unanimous vote, approved surplus request.
LETTER: Was received from Public Defender agreeing to contract for 2008.
LOAN REQUEST: Was received from Fair Board President for loan of $27,000.
MOTION: By unanimous vote, approved loan to County Fair based upon favorable recommendation
from Finance Committee and authorized signing Order when prepared.
NOTIFICATION: Was received from State Liquor Control Board of discontinuation of license for Deer Meadows Golf.
NOTIFICATION: Was received from State Liquor Control Board regarding renewal of license for Fort
Spokane Store & Restaurant.
MEETING: Assessor met to discuss ruling by State Supreme Court on I-747.
MEETING: Auditor met to discuss move of licensing deputy on wage scale.
MEETING: Engineering Services Manager presented departmental report.
LETTER: Was received from Finance Committee recommending approval of loan to County Fair.
RESOLUTION 07-50: Approved interfund loan to County Fair in the amount of $27,000 at 6% interest.
Meeting recessed to reconvene Monday, November 26, 2007 at 6:00 p.m. at Whitman County.
Meeting reconvened on November 26, 2007 with Commissioners Boleneus and Hopkins present.
AFFIDAVIT OF PUBLICATION: Verification of notification was received from The Wilbur Register.
JOINT PUBLIC HEARING: Was conducted with Adams County, Spokane County and Whitman
County to consider adoption of the WRIA 34 Palouse Watershed Plan. Palouse Conservation
District presented overview. No comments were received in opposition. Hearing closed.
QUESTION: Was called and all Counties voted to adopt Watershed Management Plan for WRIA 34.
RESOLUTION 07-51: Joint with Adams County Resolution R-91-07, Spokane County Resolution 7 0972 and Whitman County Resolution 067482 adopted the Watershed Management Plan for WRIA 34.
Meeting recessed to reconvene Wednesday, November 28, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. at BeneFax.
Meeting reconvened on November 28, 2007 with all Commissioners present.
MEETING: Was held of the LGIC with BeneFax to discuss 2008 medical insurance renewal.
MOTION: By unanimous vote, approved Lincoln County remaining in LGIC for 2008, with
BeneFax as broker.
Adjournment: With no further business, the meeting was adjourned to meet again on Monday, December 3, 2007.
