COMMISSIONERS PROCEEDINGS

LINCOLN COUNTY

JANUARY 2, 2007

The Board of County Commissioners met this day in Regular Session with all Commissioners present.            

COMMITTEE REPORTS:  Were presented.

OATHS OF OFFICE:  Auditor administered Oath of Office to Commissioner, District 3, County

            Clerk, Treasurer, Assessor and Prosecuting Attorney.  Oaths were also received for

            District Court Judge and Auditor.

CLAIMS:  Claims were examined and ordered paid in the amount of $786,716.60.

COMMISSIONERS’ ORDER 07-01:  Appointed Tom Busker to Planning Commission.

REVOCATION OF COMMISSION:  For Vicki Jensen was received.

PUBLIC OFFICIAL BONDS:  Were received for Elected Officials.

CREDIT CARD REQUEST:  From Sheriff’s Office was received requesting that card in John

            Coley’s name be changed to Kelly Watkins.

CREDIT CARD AUTHORIZATION:  Was signed to Wheatland Bank for credit cards.

MEETING:  Sheriff met to give department update.

MEETING:  Deputy Treasurer met to present personal property taxes considered

uncollectible.

MOTION:  By unanimous vote, approved cancellation of personal property taxes as

presented.

MEETING:  Public Works Director presented departmental report.

MOTION:  By unanimous vote, approved going to bid for two tandem axle cab and chassis.

AGREEMENT:  For stockpiling with Larry Peha was signed.

AFFIDAVIT:  Notice of Public Hearing publication was verified by The Wilbur Register.

PUBLIC HEARING:  Conducted to consider proposed franchise from Edwall Water Association.

            No public testimony for or against was received.  Hearing closed.

MOTION:  By unanimous vote, approved franchise for Edwall Water Association.

POSITION REEVALUATION:  Request was received from Equipment Rental & Partsperson at

            Public Works.  Recommendation by Public Works Director was received to increase

            salary and revise job description.

MOTION:  By unanimous vote, accepted recommendation of Public Works Director.

Adjournment:  With no further business, the meeting was adjourned to meet again on Tuesday, January 16, 2007.
